ɪൡ Appeals
࣬ኽήପ˾ଣૢԷdܵɛא͡ሗɛ̙࿁္ Under the EAO, licensees or licence applicants may appeal against
၍҅ٙӔ֛̈ɪൡd္ܼ̍၍҅לഒҭഗא the EAA’s decisions concerning refusal to grant or renew a licence,
ҭ̈ᚃ͡ሗdא္၍݄҅Бٙߏܛஈʱfɪൡ or its disciplinary sanctions by writing to the Secretary for Transport
ீཀࣣࠦ˙όΣ༶፩ʿג܊҅҅ڗ̈f and Housing.
༶፩ʿג܊҅҅ڗ։ɛɻଡ଼ϓ։ࡰྠdਖ਼ப୩ The Secretary for Transport and Housing is required to appoint a
ৃɪൡf։ࡰྠٙ˴ࢩఱӊ֚ɪൡࡈࣩd։ࡰ panel of persons for the purpose of hearing such appeals. The
ྠϓࡰʕ։ϓࡰଡ଼ϓᄲʃଡ଼ආБӔf appeals are determined by a tribunal, the members of which are
appointed by the Chairman of the panel from members of the
panel.
͡ൡਖ਼ࡰᔧᏨ The Ombudsman’s review
္၍҅І2010ϋ7˜2˚ৎॶɝ͡ൡਖ਼ࡰ္ٙ၍ The EAA came under the jurisdiction of The Ombudsman on 2 July
ᇍఖf2017/18ϋܓʫd͉҅ટᐏ̬֚͡ൡਖ਼ࡰᔷ 2010. In the year of 2017/18, a total of four inquiries from The
ʧٙࡈࣩdՉʕɧ֚ࡈࣩʊϋʫഐҼʿ֛މʔ Ombudsman were received. Three of them were closed and
ϓͭdϾ̤̮ɓ֚ۆʥ͊ҁഐf unsubstantiated while one is outstanding.
ਕוፕ Performance Pledges
Ъމɓࡈࠋபٙʮᐄዚd္၍҅࿁ʮٙਕ As a responsible public body, the EAA has a set of performance
ணϞɓࢁਕוፕd˲֛ಂᏨীוፕٙ༺ᅺଟf္ pledges for its services to the public and the attainment level of the
၍҅Б݁ࡈژࠋபၪܵϞࣖٙʫ္છd˸ pledges is reviewed regularly. All sections of the EAA Administration
္ਕוፕٙ༺ᅺઋرf are responsible for maintaining effective internal controls to monitor
the achievement of our pledges to the public.
