Re: Adjustment of value bands of the ad valorem stamp duty

Licensees should note that the Financial Secretary announced at the presentation of his 2025-26 Budget this Wednesday to raise the maximum value of properties chargeable to a stamp duty of $100 to $4 million with immediate effect. The new value bands will be applicable to any instrument executed on or after 26 February 2025 for the sale and purchase or transfer of residential or non-residential property.
