Licensee Identity Card to be Issued

During the first quarter of 2003 the EAA will issue identity cards to all estate agents and salespersons holding valid licences to provide a uniform and standard means of identification for practitioners.

The licensee identity card will feature the name of the licensee and the type, number and validity of his licence, as well as a photograph of the holder. Special devices will be provided for licensees to display the card, whether working outdoor or while in the office.

From December 2002, letters inviting licensees to have their photographs taken at designated studios will be sent and licensees are asked to book appointments with the studios according to the time specified. The identity cards will be issued in batches, and delivered to the licensees* addresses as registered with the EAA during the last two weeks of March 2003. For enquiry, please call 2883 2707.

The licensee identity card is being introduced to enable citizens who are contemplating property transactions to recognise, easily and promptly, a licensed practitioner, and will be particularly useful at first sale sites and other situations where there is a large assembly of agents and prospective purchasers.
