ᗫҢࡁ About Us
ήପ˾ଣ္၍္҅၍҅݊1997ϋ11˜࣬ኽή The Estate Agents Authority (“EAA”) is a statutory body, established
ପ˾ଣૢԷϾϓͭٙج֛ዚd˴ࠅᔖঐܼ̍၍ in November 1997 under the Estate Agents Ordinance (“EAO”). Its
࠰ಥήପ˾ଣุޢٙੂุiપਗุޢБԫ͍ܵi˸ principal functions are to regulate the practice of the estate agency
ʿོᎸБุdᆽڭุࡰୌΥ༸ᅃςf trade in Hong Kong, promote integrity and competence within the
industry, and facilitate training for practitioners to ensure a proper
standard of conduct.
္၍҅ᑘ፬༟ࣸϽ༊e೯̈ࡈɛձʮ̡eஈଣ The EAA organises qualifying examinations, issues licences to
࿁ุࡰٙҳൡeੂБԚݟʈЪd˸ʿ࿁༼ˀήପ individuals and companies, handles complaints against licensees,
˾ଣૢԷٙήପ˾ଣุࡰ݄Бߏܛஈʱf္၍҅ conducts compliance inspections and metes out disciplinary
͵މุޢᑘ፬ਖ਼ุ೯࢝ݺਗdԨપਗऊ൬٫ԃf sanctions to practitioners who have breached the EAO. The EAA
also organises activities for the professional development of the
trade and promotion of consumer education.
္၍҅݊ৌ݁Іഗٙዚf္၍҅ϓࡰ͟࠰ಥतй The EAA is a self-financing body. It consists of a Chairman, a Vice-
Б݁ਜБ݁ڗ֜։dணϞ͍eਓ˴ࢩɓΤʿʔ chairman, and not more than 18 ordinary members from various
ε18Τ౷ஷϓࡰfϓࡰԸІٟึεࡈޢйdܼ̍ sectors in the community, including the estate agency sector. The
ήପ˾ଣБุf Chairman, Vice-chairman and every ordinary member are appointed
by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative
Region.
