The Estate Agents Authority has appointed Ms Sandy Chan Pui-shan as Chief Executive Officer in succession to Mrs Grace Chow, the present Chief Executive Officer, from 2nd July 2003.

In announcing the appointment, Mr Marvin Cheung Kin-tung, Chairman of the Authority, expressed the EAA's gratitude to Mrs Chow for her valuable contribution as the founding Chief Executive Officer, and for the solid foundation she had laid for the work of the Authority during its formative years. Mr Cheung observed that, over the years, the Authority has built up an effective and efficient regulatory regime to promote the standard of service of the trade and to safeguard consumer interest.

Mr Cheung also expressed pleasure that Ms Chan would join the EAA as Chief Executive Officer in July. He noted that, with her experience in public administration and understanding of the estate agency industry, Ms Chan would contribute to the Authority's efforts in further enhancing the competence and professional status of practitioners in the trade.

Ms Sandy Chan Pui-shan graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and has over seventeen years' experience in public administration. She has been with the Administrative Service of the Hong Kong Government since 1987 and has served in many Government bureaux and departments.
