Seminar on New Practice Circular on First Sale of Residential Properties - Conduct in Promotional Activities and Provision of Property Information

In light of the coming into operation of the Residential Properties (First-hand Sales) Ordinance on 29 April 2013, the EAA has issued a new practice circular to remind estate agents the points to note when handling first sale of residential properties under the Ordinance. In order to familiarize practitioners with the provisions of this new circular and thus better prepare themselves for the implementation of the guidelines, the EAA organizes the following seminar.

1. EAA CPD activities are provided for holders of valid licence only. Please make sure that your licence is still valid on the date of the activity; otherwise, the seat assigned to you will be cancelled. (Note: Application for the renewal of a licence must be made not more than three months and not less than one month before the expiry of the licence.
2. Licensees who are assigned a seat will receive a written confirmation from the EAA by fax / by e-mail (the e-mail address which a licensee registered with the EAA) several days prior to the date of the seminar. (Licensee can update his/her e-mail address or other contact information via the EAA’s on-line E-Services. For details, please refer to the EAA website.)
No separate notice will be given to unsuccessful registrants.
3. Please refer to Sections 5 and 7 of the CPD Guidelines on the CPD Attainment target for the award of Certificate of Attainment and CPD Attainment Symbol and the relevant limitations applied in calculating CPD points.
4. The contents of the above seminar and the three seminars on the same subject conducted in Cantonese in April 2013 are identical. Please note that NO CPD POINTS will be awarded for participating a REPEATED CPD activity within a CPD period.
